Leslie Nii Odartey Mills: I graduated from KNUST in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. My hall of residence was the great Conti (Unity Hall) and my time in Conti was a truly memorable experience. I made friends for life and few of the memories that stand out for me are going on a float during Unity’s Hall Week in my first year; a proce to Kat also in my first year and cheering the Conti football team on the entire 4 years I was in Tech. I also had the opportunity to live in Katanga for one academic year; as such I belong to the unique class of individuals to have had the privilege to live in both halls.
After KNUST, I moved to Delaware to pursue an advanced degree in civil infrastructure systems. I completed my studies in 2013 and I currently work for a non-for-profit group called International Road Federation (IRF) in Virginia. IRF is involved in knowledge sharing and technology transfer of best practices in highway related topics and I assist with this effort.
My first introduction to the KNUST North America Alumni Association was in 2008. A friend, Stephen Mensah at the University of Delaware prompted me about the Association and there has been no turning back since. Looking up to senior members of the Association like Mr. Badu-Nkansah and Dr. Tony Osei pushed me on to be actively involved in the formation of the Delaware Valley Chapter. I served as General Secretary for the Chapter till I moved to Virginia after the completion of my studies. While with the Delaware Valley Chapter, I represented Delaware at 3 Annual Conventions.
My current position is the General Secretary of the National Association. My commitment to the Association stems from my belief that I want future Technocrats to have more opportunities for success than I did. A prosperous Ghana will be built on the next generation of future leaders and it is my responsibility to contribute to their development in every way I can.

I graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Publishing Studies. I was a resident of the largest male hall on campus UST-Continental UNITY HALL (Conti Power). Throughout my stay at UNITY HALL, I had the opportunity to present on Conti FM (96.1), the premier campus radio station that featured the one and only ‘campus filla program’. I have my Masters in Public Health (MPH) and a certificate in Occupational Safety and Environmental Compliance (OSEC). I am a Health and Safety professional currently residing in Georgia.
I am very enthusiastic about joining this team to help raise the image of KNUST; one of my objectives is to leverage my expertise in communications to attract more members to join and to contribute to the endowment fund.
